Dear All,

Please find below “Open Position” in Pokja AMPL Nasional. We are trying to find
the best possible candidates to make our team stronger.

TERMS OF REFERENCE
Translator Bahasa Indonesia-English
Kelompok Kerja Air Minum dan Penyehatan Lingkungan (Pokja AMPL)

Duty Station: Jakarta, Indonesia
Duration of Employment: 10 Months with possible extension

Background
Kelompok Kerja Air Minum dan Penyehatan Lingkungan (Pokja AMPL) or Water Supply
and Environmental Sanitation Working Group periodically needs the services of
translator to translate texts from Bahasa Indonesia into English for magazine,
website, newsletters, and other documents. The texts are typically on the
following topics: water and sanitation, democratic governance, poverty
reduction, crisis prevention and recovery, gender, and capacity development.

Assignment
Selected translator will need to work under deadline pressure, preserving the
meaning of the original language and ensuring that the target language is
lively, free of jargon, and clear to an intelligent reader who may not be an
expert in the subject. The translators should excel at translating the
vocabulary of at least one of the topic areas mentioned in the background
section.

Qualifications
Experience: To be selected, candidates must be familiar with at least one of the
areas listed above (water and sanitation, democratic governance, poverty
reduction, crisis prevention and recovery, gender, or capacity development).
Fresh graduates are very welcome to apply.
Education: Successful candidates must have a bachelor degree in English
Literature or another related field.
IT Skills: They should also be familiar with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word
and Excel in particular).
Other Criteria: Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong ability to
translate specialized texts under deadline pressure.

Application procedure
Interested candidates should submit the following:
· A resume and cover letter
· Three examples of recent, relevant translation work. Each should be no longer
than two pages.
· A list of three references
· A list of areas of proven translation experience (example: water and
sanitation, gender, democratic governance, poverty reduction)
· Expected salary

Tender guidelines: The selection of successful candidates will be based on a
combination of ability, experience and price. Deadline: Candidates should submit
the above-mentioned tender materials by 5 PM, October 26th 2010 via e-mail to
dini@ampl.or.id. ‘Translator’ should be written in the subject line of the
email.

Exercise for short-listed candidates: A translation exercise will be sent to
short-listed candidates, to be completed under deadline pressure.

Hmmm...people said that i've vicious/anger face but if u know me, i'm type of friendly person,lil bit crazy and sensitive person..that's me...I like everything about technology coz my educational background is in IT...hmm...actually i like listening music, watching movies, browsing internet, make some comment @friend's facebook status also wrote some unsignificant words, but for me it's quite interesting. Others i like to breath, laugh and smile...whatever u are, if u want to know me..just call me ratih...ok (^_')
